Case study / Fixposition AG

Web interface for the Vision-RTK 2

For Fixposition, I worked on the new web interface for the Vision-RTK 2. I connected browser controls to the positioning device’s system and sensor functions.

01Challenge

Redesign the Vision-RTK 2 web interface and connect it to the device’s system and sensor functions.

02My contribution

I worked on the frontend, backend and a Go command-line tool for processing system and sensor commands.

03Outcome

The redesigned web interface lets users operate the connected device functions in their browser.

Operating a positioning device from the browser

Fixposition needed an updated web interface for its Vision-RTK 2. Actions in the browser had to reach the corresponding system and sensor functions on the device.

I worked on both the web application and its connection to the device.

From browser controls to device commands

The frontend used React and the backend used NestJS. A command-line tool written in Go helped process and execute system and sensor commands.
