AWS migration and Kubernetes at CONTENSI

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at CONTENSI, I work on AWS migrations, infrastructure automation and Kubernetes operations. This work is part of my employment there.

01Challenge

Move existing infrastructure to AWS and EKS and improve how the platforms are provisioned and run.

02My contribution

I plan and support migrations, automate infrastructure and work on Kubernetes environments, access control and CI/CD pipelines.

03Focus

My responsibilities cover cloud migrations, automated infrastructure, secure deployments and PostgreSQL optimisation.

My role at CONTENSI

I joined CONTENSI as a Senior DevOps Engineer in October 2024. I work on cloud migrations and Kubernetes platforms, including how applications are deployed and run on that infrastructure.

Moving infrastructure to AWS

I plan and support migrations from on-premises infrastructure to AWS and Amazon EKS. I automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Crossplane, Ansible and Puppet.

I also work with AWS services such as RDS and Lambda and optimise PostgreSQL schemas and queries.

Running platforms and securing deployments

My responsibilities include Kubernetes environments with centralised logging, monitoring, artifact repositories and secrets management. IAM and RBAC control access, and CI/CD pipelines include security and compliance checks.

These responsibilities are part of my employment at CONTENSI. Internal system details and client names remain confidential.

For a financial services client, I set up a central system for managing sensitive credentials. I integrated it with the deployment pipelines and the client’s Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.

Outcome

Secrets are managed centrally, supplied to applications and rotated as part of the automated deployment setup.

Secure connectivity between devices and cloud

For an automotive client, I worked on a mesh network connecting devices and cloud services. My work covered routing, load balancing and mutual authentication between participants.

A distributed network architecture connects devices and cloud services through mutually authenticated connections.
