Digital membership cards for PEAKS

For PEAKS, I built digital membership cards for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The cards stayed in sync with the CRM and could be checked on site by partner businesses.

Let members show their membership on a phone and use it to access benefits at partner businesses.

I developed the wallet cards, CRM integration and camera-based verification, and handled deployment and launch support.

A membership card on your phone

PEAKS wanted to offer its members benefits at participating local businesses. Members needed to prove their membership on a phone, and partners needed an easy way to check the card on site.

I developed the digital cards and connected them to the membership data in the CRM.

From the CRM to the wallet

I built the interfaces in TypeScript and the services in Node.js. Membership data was synchronised with the CRM and made available as passes for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Partner businesses could check the cards using their device’s camera.

The implementation also included push notifications. Alongside development, I handled testing, deployment and technical support after launch. Backups and rollback procedures were part of the work too.
